Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (hereinafter "Terms") set forth the conditions for use of the mobile application "KAJILOG" (hereinafter "App") provided by Marginals LLC (hereinafter "Company"). By using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
Article 1 (Application)
- These Terms are intended to define the rights and obligations between the Company and users regarding the use of the App, and apply to all relationships between users and the Company related to the use of the App.
- Any rules posted by the Company on the App regarding its use shall constitute part of these Terms.
Article 2 (Service Description)
The App provides a service to assist with the management of household chores and tasks. Through the App, users may use the following features:
- Creating, editing, and deleting household chores and tasks
- Recording the completion status of household chores and tasks
- Managing the division of household chores among team members
- Other features provided by the Company
Article 3 (User Registration)
- Those wishing to use the App shall apply for user registration by the method prescribed by the Company after agreeing to these Terms, and user registration shall be completed upon the Company's approval.
- The Company may not approve a registration application if it determines that any of the following circumstances apply to the applicant, and the Company shall bear no obligation to disclose the reason:
- If false information was provided in the registration application
- If the application is from a person who has previously violated these Terms
- In any other case where the Company determines registration to be inappropriate
Article 4 (Account Management)
- Users shall manage their account information appropriately at their own responsibility.
- Under no circumstances may users transfer, lend, or share their account information with any third party.
- Users shall be responsible for any damage arising from inadequate management of account information, errors in use, or use by third parties.
Article 5 (Prohibited Actions)
Users shall not engage in any of the following actions when using the App:
- Actions that violate laws or public order and morals
- Actions related to criminal activity
- Actions that destroy or interfere with the functions of the Company's, other users', or third parties' servers or networks
- Actions that may interfere with the operation of the Company's services
- Collecting or accumulating personal information of other users
- Unauthorized access or attempts thereof
- Impersonating other users
- Directly or indirectly providing benefits to antisocial forces in connection with the Company's services
- Actions that infringe upon the intellectual property rights, portrait rights, privacy, honor, or other rights or interests of the Company, other users of the App, or third parties
- Transmitting any of the following information through the App, as determined by the Company:
- Information containing excessively violent expressions
- Information containing computer viruses or other harmful programs
- Information containing expressions that damage the reputation or credibility of the Company, other users of the App, or third parties
- Information containing excessively obscene expressions
- Information containing discriminatory expressions
- Information that induces or promotes suicide, self-harm, or drug abuse
- Information containing other antisocial content or expressions that cause discomfort to others
- Any other actions the Company deems inappropriate
Article 6 (Suspension of the App)
- The Company may suspend or interrupt all or part of the App without prior notice to users if it determines that any of the following circumstances exist:
- When performing maintenance or updates to the computer systems related to the App
- When provision of the App becomes difficult due to force majeure such as earthquakes, lightning, fire, power outages, or natural disasters
- When computers or communication lines are interrupted due to an accident
- In any other case where the Company determines that provision of the App is difficult
- The Company shall bear no responsibility for any disadvantage or damage suffered by users or third parties due to suspension or interruption of the App.
Article 7 (Usage Restrictions and Deregistration)
- The Company may, without prior notice, restrict a user's use of all or part of the App, or deregister the user, if any of the following circumstances apply:
- If the user violates any provision of these Terms
- If any false information is found in the registration details
- If there is a default in payment obligations for fees or other charges
- If there is no response to communications from the Company for a certain period
- If the App has not been used for a certain period since the last use
- In any other case where the Company determines use of the App to be inappropriate
- The Company shall bear no responsibility for any damage caused to users by actions taken under this Article.
Article 8 (Fees and Payment)
- The App offers a free plan and paid plans. The features and fees for each plan shall be displayed to users within the App or by methods prescribed by the Company.
- Fees for paid plans are charged through the App Store provided by Apple Inc. (hereinafter "App Store"). Payment shall be made in accordance with the payment methods prescribed by the App Store.
- The free trial for each paid plan is available for first-time users only.
- Unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the free trial period, the subscription will automatically renew and the fee will be charged.
- Fees for paid plans will be automatically charged within 24 hours before the renewal date of each subscription period. Unless the user cancels the subscription, it will automatically renew.
- Even after cancellation, users may continue to use the paid plan features until the end of the current subscription period.
- If the Company changes the fees, it shall notify users in advance. If users continue to use the App after the fee change, they are deemed to have agreed to the revised fees.
- Fees that have already been charged shall not be refunded except as required by law. However, this does not apply where the App Store's refund policy applies.
Article 8-2 (Plans and Feature Restrictions)
- The free plan may have certain features restricted as determined by the Company. The scope of available features can be confirmed within the App.
- The Company may change the scope of features available under the free plan and paid plans upon notifying users.
Article 9 (Intellectual Property Rights)
- All copyrights and other intellectual property rights in the App and all information related to the App belong to the Company or rights holders who have licensed their use to the Company. Users shall not reproduce, transfer, lend, translate, modify, repost, publicly transmit (including making transmittable), distribute, publish, or use for commercial purposes without authorization.
- The copyright of content posted by users in the App belongs to the users. However, users grant the Company a royalty-free license to use posted content for improving the App, promotional purposes, and similar uses.
Article 10 (Disclaimer)
- The Company makes no express or implied warranty that the App is free from factual or legal defects (including defects related to safety, reliability, accuracy, completeness, effectiveness, fitness for a particular purpose, security, errors, bugs, or infringement of rights).
- The Company shall bear no responsibility for any damage incurred by users arising from the App, except in cases of intentional or gross negligence on the part of the Company.
- The Company shall bear no responsibility for any transactions, communications, or disputes arising between users and other users or third parties in connection with the App.
Article 11 (Changes to Service Content)
The Company may change, add, or discontinue the content of the App with prior notice to users, and users agree to this.
Article 12 (Changes to Terms of Use)
- The Company may change these Terms at any time without notifying users when it deems it necessary.
- If a user begins using the App after changes to these Terms, the user is deemed to have agreed to the revised Terms.
Article 13 (Handling of Personal Information)
The Company shall handle personal information obtained through the use of the App appropriately in accordance with the Company's Privacy Policy ( https://marginals.jp/app/kajilog/privacy ).
Article 14 (Notices and Communications)
Notices and communications between users and the Company shall be made by the method prescribed by the Company. Unless a user has submitted a change notification in the manner separately prescribed by the Company, the Company will treat the currently registered contact information as valid and send notices or communications to that contact, and such notices or communications shall be deemed to have reached the user at the time of sending.
Article 15 (Prohibition on Transfer of Rights and Obligations)
Users may not transfer or pledge as collateral their contractual position or any rights or obligations under these Terms to any third party without the prior written consent of the Company.
Article 16 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
- These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
- In the event of any dispute arising in connection with the App, the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Company's head office shall have exclusive agreed jurisdiction.
